    The decor of the public areas of the hotel are rather dated, but the rooms have been improved recently with new bathrooms. The reason that I prefer this hotel to others however is because of its location, close to the town centre in St Ives. This means that there is a good choice of local restaurants within walking distance. Breakfasts are always good.

    It was clean and had what we needed for one night's stay. The staff were accommodating but not very friendly or helpful. We were three in a room, yet the room was not equipped to deal with this (towels etc.).

    Saying that, it was a comfortable night's sleep but not somewhere I would want to come back to or recommend. Unless it was to Alan Partridge.
